As an individual journeys through day by day, ideals tend to come through. Being a self centered person will definitely not be a positive approach to the situations of life. Following in the selfless ideals will certainly provide a better and compassionate walk through life with the people met along the way.</p> <p>Standards and morals of a person can represent the ideal or ideals of the society in question. An individual can uphold ideals of selflessness or self centeredness. Depending on the person, the ideal in question can be seen. Pursuing a life of selflessness is a noble path to follow. Avoiding the pitfalls of self centeredness is a good way to lead a life of moral ideals.</p> <p>An individual can have a set of ideals to uphold through a lifetime. At different points in life, the ideals setup by the individual will be tested. Sticking to personal morals can be really difficult, but following through can build a strong foundation for further trials in life. The difficulty lies in remaining strong in upholding the internal ideals setup on a personal level. Peer pressure can have a large effect on a person failing personal ideals, but even failure can be a learning experience to build upon for future experiences.</p> <p>Being a self centered person can push people with different ideals away. Focusing solely on the self along with the personal needs and desires creates a barrier and even alienates people as friends. People tend to gravitate away from self centered people and the ideals embodied therein.</p> <p>Building a life of selflessness creates an ideal foundation for a lifetime of friendships and strong personal beliefs. Not a single person is perfect, but attempting to be as close to perfection is the ideal of the majority of people. The acts of selflessness done by people throughout the world bring a lightness of being and positive elements to society. Being surrounded by people performing thoughtful acts for strangers can have a profound effect on an individual.</p> <p>Every person has a different internal ideal. Staying true to the self can be complicated if a person wants to stick to the ideals established.
