Intuition

Intuition can be thought of as a gut feeling. The instinctive response to an event or situation is the act of intuition. Having a preemptive thought and simply just automatically acting can be a part of the intuitive response. At certain points in life, the gut feeling can be prominent.

Mothers and fathers tend to have an automatic setup of the intuitive response system once a child is born. The difficulty is in learning to actually trust the feelings associated with intuition and simply go with the flow. Responding to a distressed child with no thought involved is intuition at work. The response can be associated with a higher power intervening through the person in order to get the needed response.

Certain people have stronger senses. Figuring out the possibility of using the gut feeling as an advantage instead of second guessing things is clearly a beneficial notion. Once the person has determined the self can be trusted, the instincts can be used properly and effectively. The act of just doing with no thought involved is using intuition. At points, the person might not even realize an action has occurred.

Not trusting the self can lead to the responses being thought about and second guessed. Perhaps, the inner feelings will be suppressed and no longer used as an influence on decision making. The human insight will be lost and the addition of the help from intuition will just disappear.

The gut feeling can be sensed when meeting people and a strange feeling is felt like an apprehension or warning signal toward the newcomer. Children are especially good at using intuition and can sense when a person is not being truthful or does not have good intentions. At times the person could just be unfamiliar to the child and the feelings of the unknown have caused the distrust.

When a person has the nagging feeling of things being out of sorts, intuition is working and sending a message there might be a problem to the individual. Using the inner feelings to determine the cause of the alarm is helpful in attempting to figure out the source of the dilemma.

Following a hunch and trusting instincts gives perceptions into a situation or a person. Pursuing the intuition can give additional insight to a person. Learning to trust the feelings is a benefit throughout a lifetime.
