RelationshipsThroughout life, there are a tremendous amount of relationships a person can build, retain, and lose. From the first relationship with parents and family to relationships developed while growing up, people can have an infinite number of associations during the course of a lifetime. Building the first bonds is very important to establishing a connection to the world. As a baby becomes aware and realizes the way things work, the sense of self becomes present. Needed throughout life, the sense of self allows every individual to create a tie to the people met along the way, whether family, friends, co-workers, spouses, or children. Without a relationship to the self, the means to a proper relationship to people constantly in the life of the individual will not be as easily created. Not knowing the self, makes things difficult to figure out when different people are involved. Family is a major factor in the creation of the prominent relationships. The family affects the person in infinite ways. Growing up with the parents, siblings, families extended, and so forth, the person can figure out the way the members in the relationship see things and take the pieces needed to fill the needs personally and form the correlation between the self and the self in the family environment. The person is born into the family so there is no selection process, just determining the place within the family dynamic. Friends create personal factors for relationships. As friends are created and chosen by the self, the person can have a rapport with strangers later turning into friends. While there are different types of friends, the people involved have an alliance to the group or individual. The people can be best friends, good or dear friends, but friendly to the individual and the sense of self the individual has created. The same goes for the members of the friend relationships. Co-workers can fall in the same category as the friends, but the people involved with the relationship are found at the place of work. Perhaps the people in the relationship are simply just acquaintances, not having a major impact on the life of the individual, simply being an acquaintance. Another major relationship is the spouse. Having spent a lifetime figuring out family and building up friendships, finding the ultimate friend to spend a lifetime together, is a monumental connection for the people involved. The years spent with family and friends and the experiences gained, give the spousal relationship a definitive and profound effect on the self and give meaning to life for the self. Following a hunch and trusting instincts gives perceptions into a situation or a person. Pursuing the intuition can give additional insight to a person. Learning to trust the feelings is a benefit throughout a lifetime. For further information on relationships, visit www.NavinDoshi.com |
