People have a tendency to follow the beliefs based on the place of origin. From a western society, people tend to believe the scientific aspects of reality and the eastern philosophy is thought to follow a philosophical aspect of reality. There is not a strict sense of every person being set in regard to particular beliefs. People do change and come to conclusions regarding a particular interest or belief through the course of a lifetime based on events and specific experiences.</p> <p>Western science is essentially the belief in certainty and science backing up the facts and beliefs of society. Western science tests every aspect regarding life, medicine, and society as a whole. Trying to pinpoint a reason for things and an explanation to detail the part of reality is a main concern of western beliefs. People tend to look for an explanation filled with logic and scientific evidence. Looking to philosophical ideas is not the typical way for western people.</p> <p>Eastern philosophy is essentially the belief in natural remedies for ailments and explanations of society as a whole. Eastern philosophy details how to find wholeness personally through thought and meditation to create centeredness in a person. Well being is based on the balance of inner thoughts and outer actions. Finding a true sense of self through proper actions and reactions in society is a large part of eastern philosophical belief.</p> <p>At times the two beliefs can coincide. When the belief in western science no longer provides an answer or remedy to help a person, a turn to the eastern philosophical belief system might open further avenues and ways to aid a malady. The same goes for eastern philosophical belief and looking to the western scientific view to provide a different outlook and understanding.</p> <p>Using the two beliefs together can also benefit people. Looking to go beyond the fact of western science, adding the eastern philosophy can truly provide a detailed and complete understanding of a problem. While western science is no better than eastern philosophy, using the beliefs together can give a perspective not typically found with just a single system of belief.
